Carmelo Anthony traded to New York

All that Melodrama is finally over. ESPN.com confirmed Monday night that Carmelo Anthony has been traded to the Knicks.

The Knicks get Anthony along with Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman while Denver will get Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks’ 2014 first-round draft pick, the Golden State Warriors’ 2012 second-round pick, the Warriors’ 2013 second-round pick and $3 million in cash. Everyone take a breather, it’s finally over with.

I don’t know what was more annoying, the circus surrounding LeBron James or Carmelo. At least I didn’t need to turn on ESPN and watch Carmelo’s decision. Somewhere in Denver a child is crying.

EDIT: I also forgot to list that the Minnesota Timberwolves were involved in this blockbuster trade too. They send Corey Brewer to New York and exchange for Eddy Curry and Anthony Randolph. I’m surprised the Knicks went ahead to trade away Gallinari seeing he was a fan favorite and all. Just goes to show it’s all business.
