Trail Blazers lose heartbreaker 93-89 to Grizzlies
Nothing much here to really talk about, I didn’t get a chance on Saturday to catch this game but it felt like another loss before the game even started. Memphis is not only secured for another consecutive playoff appearance, they are in the thick of potentially grabbing home court advantage in the first round. They led throughout the game and let Portland cut to single digits very late in the fourth as close as two points, but Rudy Gay blocked a three-point attempt by Wesley Matthews to spoil an upset.
The Blazers were led by JJ Hickson’s 23 points and 13 rebounds, with support from Wesley Matthews’ 16 points, 7 rebounds, and Jamal Crawford with 21 points.
This is the final week of Blazer basketball as they close out their road trip in San Antonio and then to Utah.
