Spurs clobber Trail Blazers 124-89; clinch number one seed in West

I’ll spare my time and yours by keeping this very short and to the point: the San Antonio Spurs are the best team in the Western Conference and by handing Portland a pretty lopsided defeat, they beat the Thunder for the number one seed in the West and now eye the best record in the entire league.

The Blazers played Luke Babbitt, Nolan Smith, Hasheem Thabeet and Raymond Felton to legends Tim Duncan and his partner Tony Parker and their incredible production from the bench. There was no chance for a Portland win.

Sad to say that while the Blazers’ season ends on Thursday with a trip to Utah and there will be no Portland basketball till the fall, I will be relieved this season will be over. The emotional toll it’s taken from the start and a hectic schedule just leaves my brain fried. I hope that the Blazers can end the season with a spoiler W against the Jazz and then head into a summer full of opportunities with the free agency market.
