Hasheem Thabeet agrees to deal with Oklahoma City Thunder
Portland Trail Blazers unrestricted free agent center Hasheem Thabeet reportedly signed a two-year deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder late Wednesday.
Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports that “7-3 center Hasheem Thabeet agrees to two-year deal with Oklahoma City Thunder, source tells Y! Second overall pick in 2009 draft joining his 4th team.”
The 25-year old center played 15 games for the Trail Blazers who acquired him and point guard Jonny Flynn from the Houston Rockets in exchange for center Marcus Camby at the trade deadline. Thabeet averaged 1.9 points, 2.3 rebounds in seven minutes per game for Portland.
He was also reportedly targeted by the Dallas Mavericks before sticking with the Thunder.
